What Do I Do ???

I’ve been trying to write a new page for my website about the sessions I offer by phone or Skype, and I have run up against my eternal question; what do I do???

I’ve always been good at multi-tasking, as a Gemini I think it comes naturally to have a multi-focused perception of the world. In my work, it helps me incorporate lots of different techniques and approaches to health and healing. But when it comes to describing what I actually do, it’s never a simple answer, more like a lengthy list!

Energy is so fascinating – it’s complex and multi-dimensional flows in the body, the intricate connections between thoughts and emotions, body and spirit. The mind-body connection; physical hands-on healing work, energy medicine and guided imagery have always captivated me. Over the years, I have incorporated a number of energy psychology techniques like EFT, Meridian Tapping, Theta healing and ETHOS into my bag of tricks. These techniques are such rich, creative ways to explore our stuff and let it go without having to plough through all our emotional baggage.

I think it all comes down to how our energy is aligned. Are we flowing in our lives, moving into our desired future with creativity and inspiration? Are we encumbered by the old junk we have carried from past experiences, family patterns from childhood and before? Are our bodies limited by old movement patterns, our hearts contracted by old wounds, our minds restricted by out-dated belief systems?

As a Chiropractor I was trained to focus on physical alignment – releasing blocks and tensions and imbalances to restore good motion and alignment to the physical structures. This in turn, allows the nervous system, circulatory system and lymphatic system to flow and nourish the whole body. As an energy practitioner, by releasing blocks and restrictions and imbalances I help to restore a healthy, balanced flow of energy to nourish your system on all levels. But I have found that no one approach is right for everyone. We have our own individual likes and affinities, things that just click with us and feel like our path.

So what do I do? A little of this, a bit of that, my own eclectic blend that draws on decades of experience in health care, both alternative and allopathic. I think, ultimately, it is by drawing on multiple approaches and perspectives that we find a path that truly resonates with our unique, individual needs. Just as I have created a way of working that resonates with my own unique affinities, talents and interests, I encourage you to explore what resonates with you.

If you have issues of body, heart, mind or spirit and would like to find an approach that fits with who you are, Skype and phone sessions allow me to be more available to you, regardless where you live. Give me a call if you’d like to know more.

Carol – I’m an eclectic Gemini healer too, and was amused for you to be asking yourself the same question as I have of myself recently!! There seem to be times when I manage to find the unity between all the different aspects of my professional life, and times when I feel far too scattered and stretched to understand how it all fits together and who I am. That’s when I need to let go, lighten up, and accept my uniqueness without judgement.

Great to find your website.

Dave
