Dr. Robin:
What do you suggest we do to maintain our strength of mind when CORP US in DC is doing so much to prevent our having a peaceful life, with the ability to survive? Consider gas, food, and other daily survival prices, especially for us in our 70s on minimal SS.
We were raised in the 30s-50s last to believe that a “God” was in control, and would work all things out for our good. Well, I fail to see any truth in that. How about you? It appears now that both coasts and the Gulf are to experience a drastic liquifaction soon, with land sliding into the Gulf, mountain chains rumbling, with no one being safe anywhere…
I can’t understand it, and wonder what you believe we should do in light of it. Thanks for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Bob in Talbot Co., Ga.
Dear Dr. Bob,
In light of all the difficulties in the world, I believe we should do the only thing we really can do – be responsible for our selves. We are here to learn and grow and find happiness, and no one in any position of any authority can prevent you from doing that. Peacefulness is within us. There have always been, and probably always will be events in the world out of our personal control. If it’s not the economy or wars it’s earthquakes and blizzards and Ice Ages. Life is like that on this planet! It is finding peace and balance within, and holding a larger perspective on the seemingly random or destructive events of life that I believe is the path to our greatest growth and happiness.
Is there a toxic level of D3 that we should be concerned about? If I get Vit. D with my calcium supplement, and Vit. D in my fish oil supplement and then take 15,000 IU’s of D3, it would seem that I may be overdoing the D.
Thank you for your opinion.
Respectfully,
Rhonda in Los Angeles, CA
Yes, 15,000IU is excessive, even if you were deficient, there is no need to take that much. You definitely can overdo Vit D which is why it is important to check your blood levels with a 25-OH Vit. D test to determine if your levels are healthy, in which case you just want to maintain them or if they are low and you need to increase them.
I’m interested in guided imagery CD’s on the following:
1. Preparing for good dreams
2. Letting go of the past, with forgiveness for self and others
3. Trusting the process of being in the moment and knowing we are guided to do what’s best for us.
4. Letting go worry for loved ones
Gayle, thanks for your suggestions. “Being At Peace with Choices” does support ‘trusting the process of being in the moment and knowing we are guided to do what’s best for us.’ It’s about honoring our choices and trusting our path and our guidance. I like the idea of guided imagery for letting go of the past and forgiveness, it’s something I have taught in some EFT meridian tapping workshops. Thanks for your feedback.
